The Nine Steps to Creating a Successful Coaching Business

Say you’re just starting out as a coach or consultant. You have your “genius zone”. You know the results you’ve been able to achieve for yourself or others. You’re an expert in your field and have a great idea for that online course or program that you know will help so many others achieve their goals and dreams. Then…

SQUIRREL!

You start seeing all of these ads by marketers pictured in front of a Lamborghini, boarding a private plane, or on some luxurious vacation who specifically help coaches, consultants, and entrepreneurs make 6–7 figures in 90-days or less. Ohhh…. Ahhh…. You want that! Who doesn’t? You’re now the latest victim of Shiny Object Syndrome who’s been pulled into the endless loop of trying to figure out this marketing strategy or that marketing strategy, throwing thousands of dollars at “coaches” who convince you that their program is the golden ticket to riches.

You abandon your course creation idea and start chasing down this new opportunity or that new opportunity.

A few days later — or maybe even within a few hours — you’re hit with one idea after the other:

I could start a monthly membership program…
Maybe I should write a book…
…Or should I start a Podcast?
Oh! I could build out
