How to Develop Great Content Even If You’re Afraid of Developing Content

If you’re a marketer, no doubt you’ve heard the term “Content is King”. But, where did the phrase stem from?

We can thank Bill Gates for that. He penned an essay in 1996 with that very title. In it, he stated:

“Content is where I expect much of the real money will be made on the Internet…”

This still holds true to this day.

However, content isn’t just for marketers or the likes of Bill Gates. It’s for anyone who wants to build an audience, a following, build trust, and establish credibility.

Content gives entrepreneurs the ability to engage with their audience, to inform and interact. It gives you a customer centric business and the opportunity to attract customers rather than infringe upon them.

Content marketing is key to increasing quality leads, conversion rates, and sales. If 40 is the new 30, then content marketing is the new black.

However, not everyone is comfortable developing content. Many don’t even know what to do or where to start. They won’t blog if they’re not comfortable writing. They won’t do video if they don’t feel comfortable on camera. They won’t do audio such as Podcasts if they don’t feel comfortable with how they sound when recorded.
